December 27, 2017 – We love surprises, so you can only imagine our excitement when an email from the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) was forwarded to our campaign, highlighting our race as one of their 18 in 2018 picks:
Anna Eskamani got her start as a community leader by collecting petitions among her classmates at age 10. Today she’s an adjunct professor while working full time as the Senior Director for Planned Parenthood, where she manages a team across 22 counties and is known across the nation as an advocate for women’s health and equality.
• Lifelong Orlando native and daughter of immigrants, running to be the first Iranian-American to serve in the Florida legislature
• Strong women’s health care advocate
• Flip opportunity in the Sunshine State
The DLCC is a national organization, and their spotlight of our campaign speaks to the powerful movement we are building together, right here in Central Florida. Thank you, DLCC!
